NorthBay’s vision is to transform lives. Inspire action. Their mission is to challenge people through transformative educational and retreat experiences to realize their attitudes and actions have a lasting impact on their lives, communities, and the environment.

KGRW and Associates designed the administrative building which is being used to train professionals, in particular teachers from all areas in the U.S.. Metropolitan Studio collaborated on the exterior materials and colors in addition to the interior design and furniture procurement. NorthBay originally designed as an environmental studies camp for middle-school children, the North Bay Camp has since expanded its mission to include church groups, public school programs and corporate retreats. Sited on the Chesapeake Bay, the camp includes cabins, bunk houses, staff quarters, classrooms, a wet lab for science studies, offices, an observation tower and much more.

The new educational building continues the urban architecture style, allowing natural light to flood the interiors combined with a mosaic nature in the two story space. Natural materials, corrugated metal, bright colors, textured carpet projects exciting energy and environment to hold conferences and classes. The educational building will the headquarters for future camps and expansion.
