This exquisite glass home is positioned at the top of a mountain in Costa Rica, offering sprawling views of the rainforest on one side and the ocean on the opposite side. The contrast
between the array of greens from the rainforest against the bright blue of the pool and seascape is breathtaking. The Mason’s Residence is composed of 360 degrees of windows allowing natural light to flood in; the outside views are the subtle backdrop yet near constant reminder of nature’s beauty. The building finishes, textiles, woods, and other furniture and décor pieces are crafted from natural materials native to Costa Rica.
The interior paint colors are muted to allow the natural surroundings to provide a sense of peace, tranquility, and silence. The house contributes to escapism, a retreat far removed from the hustle and bustle of everyday life.
