The visitor’s center is stationed below the Historic Monticello Plantation, occupying the steep terrain while not impeding the original topography and preserving the historical views of the university, mountainside, and valley. This building’s architecture and interior design complement this historic U.S. destination. The visitor center includes a ticketing station, a theater, cafeĢ, exhibition spaces, classrooms, offices, conference room, kid-friendly innovative discovery room, and a gift shop.

The complex is designed to experience history, nature and interface with an inspiring milieu.
