KGRW & Associates, BCT Architects, and Metropolitan Studio® won an international design competition to create a retirement community for a premiere site in China. Older adults can enjoy top-class services, social connectedness, and better their health and wellness at the retirement community. The luxury community revolves around two main features of the site: a large lake to the southeast and an existing building that will be the jewel and the center of the community. These two unique site features, combined with elevating design qualities, such as gardens and well-planned landscaping, are integral components found at beautiful resorts. The team combined existing buildings with new structures designed to offer ample natural light, creating a stunning backdrop for everyday activities.
The community is comprised of three neighborhoods, three clubhouses, more than five restaurants, a theater, a pool, art studios, game rooms, wellness and exercise facilities, assisted living, and memory care services. This large-scale retirement community will be visually pleasing to live in and provide the best framework for the community to function and encourage its residents’ physical, social, and spiritual involvement.
