The industry standard of functional specifications and accommodations, specifically for seniors, are being combined with experiential design concerns. This new design wave centers around creating unique environments that are modern, attract new residents to the community, create a high-quality lifestyle, and maintain resident enjoyment. 

COVID posed a major health and safety challenge to the senior living industry thus, has increased the urgency for transforming senior living communities. The revitalization of the buildings and environments focuses on the resident’s experience. Subsequently, increasing quality of life while maintaining safety measures and functional arrangements. These transformations also entice the best employees who are the backbone in providing care for residents.
